Business Cases

The Innovation Studies Business Cases (ISBC) are text resources created by graduate students and faculty of the Innovation Studies Group at Politecnico di Torino. They are made available to everybody for teaching and educational purposes free of charge.

Case studies provide in-depth description and detailed qualitative information on the management and business activities of firms.
At IS group, we make extensive use of case studies, both for teaching and for research purposes. In Social Sciences research, case studies are used to provide rich and longitudinal examination of phenomena, later to be used in the formulation of new hypothesis and to enlighten results of quantitative analyses.

Case Studies also make an extraordinarily powerful tool for teaching Innovation Management and Strategy to graduate and undergraduate students.

Their problem-centered and simulation-like experience provides unparallel instruments to adult learning.
This is the reason why IS group has started a project of case-studies writing, the Innovation Studies Business Casees (ISBS), in collaboration with its graduate students. The project aims at increasing the advisability of case studies suitable to teach Innovation Management & Strategy, particularly in Italian Language.
