Antonio De Marco
Antonio De Marco is a student of the Vilfredo Pareto Doctoral program in Economics and Complexity at the Collegio Carlo Alberto in Turin. After graduating in Management Engineering at the Politecnico di Torino, he joined the Innovation Studies group as Research Fellow at the Department of Management and Production Engineering (DIGEP).
His research interests are in the areas of Markets for Technology and Intellectual Property Rights (IPR), Standard-Essential Patents (SEP), Economics of Science and Innovation. Antonio was invited to visit École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne from October 2015 to February 2016. In his doctoral thesis, he is developing an econometrical analysis of market transactions that involve patents granted by the USPTO to study the effect of their origin country on the likelihood of re-assignment and on the timing of such ownership change.
