The Department of Management and Production Engineering (Politecnico di Torino) is seeking Expressions of Interest for an Assistant Professor to work in the area of Economics of Innovation.
The Assistant Professor will work in close collaboration with the members of the Innovation Studies (IS) research group. The IS scholars conduct research in several areas of innovation, finance and entrepreneurship with a variety of approaches and a strong background in quantitative methods. The group provides a friendly, stimulating environment that encourages personal and professional development and is especially supportive of young scholars.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A PhD in Economics, Management or a related field
- A strong research background in Economics of Innovation/Science
- Demonstrated interest and expertise in quantitative methods
- A portfolio of published/working papers in related subjects
- Candidates of any nationality are encouraged to apply
- Candidates with a record of excellent and internationally recognized research are highly encouraged to apply
Position and selection
The position is for one Assistant Professor full-time, beginning tentatively at the end of 2023/beginning of 2024 and lasting 3-years.
The selection is envisaged to take place in fall of 2023 (interviews can be organized in presence or online).
The position requires a teaching load of minimum 30 lecture hours per academic year.
